November 26, 2011 Just got home from performing at Butlers First Light Up Night. Despite having almost no time to prepare it went pretty well. It was nerve racking since it was a completely new experience and setting. Unfortunately I ended up focusing almost the entire time on a sign across the street and missed seeing people reaction which was apparently positive. Ill post videos and photos in the next couple days.
October 15, 2011 Last night was round 3(semi finals) of the Melange competition. There are four contestants including myself competing in the finals on October 21. First price is $500 and 5 hours of studio time. Even if I don't win its ok, I got so much from this competition already. The owner of Spalding Promotions is also a fan of Josh Groban (I sang covers of his songs for 2 of the 3 weeks) and he was so complementary of my performance. Also the dj last night, DJ Kemosabe offered his card and told me to get in touch with him for possible future gigs. I could not have asked for a better time.
September 30, 2011 Today was the first round of the Melange Singing Competition sponsored by Spalding Promotions. Its a four round competition with eliminations each week. Ill post my videos from this on the music page.
September 25, 2011 A little while ago I was cast as the lead female in a short independent film by Mad Max Pictures Today was the first of aprox. four shooting days. Ravi and Cash (director/producer) are so open to my ideas and give me such free range to mold my character and adjust my lines so they fit perfectly for me. Im so excited to post it. Post production should be finished in about two months. Ill post it on the 'Screen' page as soon as its done.
July 1-9, 2011 Big Butler Fair week, on of my favorite times of the year. I competed with my horses Dezara Tish and Zenyara and had a blast. I also did the National Anthem for the events at the Grandstands. Videos of my competing and singing are posted on Mi Vida and Music page.
June 23 & 24, 2011 Yep another shoot with Steel Town. This one sucked though, It was on the 3rd story of a church in a gym with no central air and 3oo ppl dressed in 'April' clothing. AHHH! In between takes they brought in ac tubes but if you were more than 20ft away then you were S.O.L. Despite my complaining I had such a fun time. Don Starks remembered my name :-D and I met more cool people. One of the extras that I stood with both days was a ballet dancer and taught me on our breaks. The other was a MMA competitor who also taught me some moves on our breaks when my 'ballet teacher' wanted a breather. It was crazy long hours but I am still so glad I went.
June 15 & 16, 2011 The 15 was my first day on the set of Steel Town as an extra. Chris Patrick was the makeup artist for background and we talked about his start the industry, I learned so much. Scene one on the 15th Don Starks asked my name since I was meandering in the back of that shot and he didn't forget the entire time I was there. During our lunch break on the 16th I sat with him and picked his brain on the everything. He was so down to earth and willing to talk with me. It meant so much and I told him that later. This was the best time Ive ever had on a set the cast and crew were courteous to everyone even a lowly background like me.
November 15, 2010 Aim High Entertainment filmed 2 promotional commercials Saturday November 13 .
It was my first commercial shoot. Starting at 8am it took 5 hours to
get both shot. We we're all tired but we kept each other laughing
making the time fly by. Only one commercial made it through editing, it is posted on my 'Screen' page.
November 9, 2010 Today
was the first day on set filming "The Right One", a student film
written and directed by Ron Karpinski. I have 3 more days of filming and
it's so exciting my first film as a notable part. The director hit unexpected snags and was unable to finish editing, the rough cut is posted on the 'Screen' page.
October 26, 2010 Now it's official, I will be cast as a lead for Aim High Entertainments 2 promotional commercials that will be filmed in the coming weeks.
July 7, 2010 Full Pull
Productions Inc. held the 'Bring What Ya Brung' Truck Pulls today. This
was the last event I sang the National Anthem for during the Fair. *Video of this performance is posted on the Music page.
July 6, 2010 JM
Productions Inc. held the Figure 8 Races at the Grandstands today and I
sang the National Anthem for this event as well. Jay Milligan (0wner of
Jm Productions) also offered for me to sing for his events at the
Lawrence County Fair which I greatly look forward to. *Video of this performance is posted on the Music
page.
July 5, 2010 From July 2-10 I competed at the 155th Big Butler Fair Horse Contests. Every
day there is a different event at the Grandstands. The 5th held the
Auto Demo Derby held by JM Productions Inc. For this event I allowed the
opportunity to sing the National Anthem. It was amazing to sing for so
many people. *Video of this performance is posted on the Music
page.
May 23, 2010 I participated in my first student film today at the Art Institute in Pittsburgh. I was just an extra I'm just working on getting some experience. I was filmed in front of a green screen which was a first and definitely interesting.
March 12, 2010 I
just went to see 'She's Out Of My League', I thought it was pretty
funny. The total dork in me was also excited when I saw myself in the
Air Show scene (just my back) like I said, dork.
January 10, 2010 I'm
very
excited to announce that 'She's Out Of My League' has just released the
teaser' trailer. The movie is also set to be in theaters March 12 of
this year.
January 5, 2010 I
competed in a Karaoke competition today at the Days Inn Playmakers Bar
in Butler, Pa. Ten weeks, with a finalist each week will compete on
January 26 for $500. I became one of the ten finalist tonight. When I
competed tonight I was very nervous(as I usually do in front of crowds).
This got me to start going to karaoke bars to get over my stage fright.
I am absolutely thrilled to say getting in front of people to sing
doesn't bother me much at all anymore. Even If I don't win I am still
very glad because this experience has helped my confidence.
July 21-22, 2009 Tuesday 2:30 pm until Wednesday 6am we finished filming the last of Warrior at the Twin Highway Drive-In. We were a crowd watching our physics teacher Mr. C in a UFC fight. It was a long cold night that left me hoarse the next day, but it was fun and I met and chatted with Kevin Dunn, the dad from Transformers. Awesome.
July 17, 2009 For the past few months Lionsgate has been filming 'Warrior'. One of the last shots were being filmed in the Peterson Event Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. We basically just played musical chairs for 12 hours. The crowd sat in one section and was filmed cheering then moved to the next section and cheered again. It was an interesting day.
